Why Aptera?

The car industry is mostly not addressing what’s really needed: efficient, affordable vehicles

Aptera seems light-years (haha) ahead of the rest.

Efficiency

Affordability

Prices starting from USD 25.900 (base model, 250mi / 400km / 25kWh battery) plus taxes.

Take that with a grain of salt as they did not start production and sales yet, so we’ll have to see what the price will actually be in the future. Some people expect the price to go up and it will have to be seen whether that might also affect reservation holders or not.

Fun / Comfort

Considering the Aptera is relatively lightweight, but still has rather strong in-wheel motors (128kW total for Launch Edition), I guess it might be quite fun to drive.

Noise usually caused by air turbulences is expected to be rather minimal due to its super optimised aerodynamics, so could be a quite silent ride.

Even big persons (like up to almost 2m) should fit in comfortably in an Aptera.

Does solar on a vehicle make sense?

Often it does not and the reasons are:
